I had a very bizarre and nasty experience with this organization. I previously posted my resume and dated someone whose profile a female matchmaker sent me, but I was never a paid subscriber. So, the mans resume they sent me paid them to send HIM matches. I had filled out a profile and did not check off Lubavitch..A female matchmaker whose name I don't even remember sent me a message that although I had said I wasn't interested in Chabad, she thought I should look at his profile. I did and he an I met. But I don't remember the matchmakers name, I had really no contact with her after she sent me his profile because he then communicated with me directly. A couple of years later, I tried to open up my profile again and SYAS had disabled my account..I messaged them several times to find out why and left a couple of voicemails..they messaged back to stop communicating with them, the account was closed..I was really hurt and confused and left one more voicemail with my email and phone number. to please contact me and tell me why they disabled my profile. They sent a message via their site that the reason they disabled my account was that I "had argued with a matchmaker." .I don't know any matchmaker, she really was the guy's matchmaker - he was a paying member..i don't even remember her name, and I had no verbal contact with her ever, so how could I have had any "argument" with her, and about what? it was about 6 years ago, and the guy was the member. So I had no conversations verbally with her. My account is still closed out. I know a couple of people who are affiliated with this organization, they asked me why I don't sign up..if I tell them what I experienced, they seem to shrink back. I think they have some m.o..amongst the matchmakers that if they think you're not much of a possibility -age, profession etc, to be matched - hence, they won't get a gratuity, they make up some weird reason to eliminate you. Very creepy. Very strange. I think these organizations are scary..they turn me off..I'd rather just go to shul and talk to friends.
In summary, I would not recommend Saw You at Sinai to a friend.
