In this fast paced world it can be tricky to find a date. If you’re looking to date a Jewish man or woman, whatever your sexuality might be, jPeopleMeet.com might be worth checking out. The unique sales point here is that it doesn’t restrict homosexual or bisexual relationships in its searches, which many other Jewish dating sites don’t cater for. However, members’ profiles can be very ‘bare-bones’ in terms of content, and a lot of members have only uploaded one photo each, which is an indication that they perhaps don’t use the site often or have not upgraded their account.

What’s the problem with people not upgrading? Well, simply put: you cannot correspond with them. So, even if you’ve paid the subscription fees, it won’t do you any good if everybody you like is a free member. If you take a look at the costings section of this review you’ll see that JPeopleMeet is a cheap Jewish dating website, however we’re not completely convinced that it’s the best way to spend your money in the pursuit of happiness because your dating choices will be limited.

There are a few positive features to this site including a choice between instant messaging or email. You can also zoom in on photos to get a better look, and the registration process is detailed so you can add plenty of information about yourself if you choose. The fact remains, though, that people aren’t choosing to fill in their information, which simply doesn’t bode well.

There are a few ways other than messaging members to let them know that you’re interested in them, including clicking the “I’m interested” button on their profile page, or asking them for more information. Whether or not you get an answer is another thing altogether.

Navigating the site is simple and intuitive, although this is partly because there’s very little to it. The site has no community features such as a message board or group chats, no extra games or ways to pass the time, no video options, no dating articles (other than some advice on “safe dating”) or blogs to read. So it can feel a bit of a vacuum at times.

At least the FAQ and help options aren’t too bad; you can search the database by keyword or locate the problem yourself. Otherwise, you can send an email message to the team, although it would be a nice benefit to have some live support in the form of a chat box.

J People Meet might be an okay cheaper option if you’re strapped for cash, but you can find free Jewish dating sites that do a similar job, albeit often with adverts. If you find someone you like and they appear to be active then it’s probably worth the low fees to get the chance to talk with them, but otherwise it’s hard for us to avidly recommend JPeopleMeet.com over its competitors.
