JewishMingle is powered by Spark Networks, the company behind the almighty JDate. JewishMingle has a fun, relaxed clean look, with a bright and cheerful interface.  Internet dating site providers know that an inviting site means more customers. If they come, take a quick look and leave, nobody is going to get a date.  The more detailed the information collected about members, the more other members are going to want to hook up.  JewishMingle makes this a fun process, interjecting with invitations to take quizzes such as the 'Readiness IQ test'.  This attaches a color to your profile to show what kind of relationship you are looking for.

The site is accessible to free guest members, allowing you to make searches, check out peoples'' limited profiles, test the water with 'smiles' and see who's viewed your profile.  We rated it 3.5 stars on value for money because of the amount of irrelevant advertising making navigation a little harder and low search results numbers. It seems to suffer from the popularity of other sites, but nevertheless you could while away the hours quite happily here.  The tariff comes in 1, 3 or 6 month packages.  The higher premium package allows you to make your profile stand out from the crowd.

Handy features include 'smiles' which are quick e-mails that say "I enjoyed reading your profile. Would you please get back to me?"  'Think You'd Click' is another helpful tool, allowing you to answer yes, no or maybe.  If you say yes JewishMingle will secretly find out if the selected member is interested in you as well.  Click maybe and you will be asked again later, and click no and they will be none the wiser.  The site works as a friends network, so you add members you are interested in to your list.  Message boards act as a way of getting to know one another, and range across subjects such as hobbies & leisure, health & fitness and religion.  The most popular topic is relationships and dating, followed by entertainment, and news and current events.

This is a top competitor on the online Jewish dating scene and is feature packed, friendly and accessible.  There is good safety advice and with standard membership you can use your own private e-mail for getting in touch.  Profiles are well filled, with the added options of color editing and including more information.  Many members attach an "essay" which is basically a longer description, prompted by questions such as "what would I like to do on a first date?" and "what good things have past relationships  taught me?"  The fun facts profile feature gives a relaxed friendly dimension, adding types of music you like to listen to, favorite types of food, and answering questions like "are you a trendy person?"
