JewishMatch is a well established dating web site, powered by the SuccessfulMatch.com group of dating networks.  It caters for the niche market of specialist dating from BikerKiss.com, to NudistFriends.com, MilitaryFriends.com or Deafs.com.  Well, you can't say they're not trying. If you hadn’t guessed, JewishMatch is focused on matching single Jewish people in the hopes that sparks will fly.

JewishMatch allows you to create a 'circle of friends'.  Like other sites in this category, this works like Facebook in that you receive and send invitations to become 'friends' with others.  However, you can only invite non-members to join your personal friends list. This is a way of increasing membership numbers.

It's relatively easy to sign up with JewishMatch to see what they have on offer.  Once you have completed your basic details, you can leave the rest for another time and have a snoop around. The whole registration process is quite long, and, until you have completed your profile, you cannot be listed or contact other members. This does mean that all the members listed will have taken the trouble to go through the process, so at least it may weed out some time wasters. The idea is that the more effort you put in, the more success you receive in hooking up with suitable dates.  On the other hand, this does make it a little less accessible than other products.

A month's membership will cost you $39.95 normally, although you can get it cheaper during a sale, so it is comparable to many other sites in this category, but a little more expensive than some. JewishMatch's tariff offers only one type of paid membership, which makes it simple. Once you are a 'gold' member you become a featured member and so have a better chance of getting noticed. You can no longer choose a 12 month package, however, meaning that you will need to renew after your contract is up and the prices aren’t quite as good as they once were with the 12 month option.

JewishMatch say that if you sign up for gold membership you will increase your chance of success by up to 20 times. Be aware that you may be charged automatically every month once you have signed up - so keep an eye on your bank statements and don't forget to cancel when you've got married and moved to the suburbs. There are clear instructions on the FAQ page on payment queries amongst other things.

There are a variety of search options once you become a gold member.  Free membership allows you to search by gender, age and location.  On the quest for your true love, you can only search within 100 miles on JewishMatch, so bear this in mind if you are looking for the girl/boy next door - it could be a long ride home!  The real advantage to gold membership is that you can initiate contact. Free members are able to respond to emails and messages but if you see someone you like and you want to make a move then you’ll have to pay up. You can send free winks to paying members in the hope they’ll get in touch though, so there’s a way around the system.

Whilst lacking a little in terms of chat room activity compared to other major sites in this category, JewishMatch nonetheless is a fun friendly and safe dating site with some quality features well worth checking out.
